Fiberglass pipes as a branch of composite materials are composed of two major parts namely the reinforcement (i.e. fiber) and the matrix (i.e. resin). As a different combination of base materials reveal different types of composite materials it would be a common practice to use the abbreviations for composite materials.
GRVE: Glass reinforced Vinylester resin
GRVE pipes are widely used in oil, gas, refineries, and power plants. This class of pipes has been known as a reliable and economic alternative for special metallic alloys like Nickel-Chrome, Stainless Steel, Monel, Hastelloy… for highly corrosive and harsh mediums. In this regard, MATIN technology center has a mission to design and verify various classes of GRVE pipes and fittings focusing to provide high strength fiberglass GRVE pipes which are optimized for each service condition (i.e. different service temperatures, corrosion performance, installation types, etc). It should be mentioned that the technology license of GRVE pipes is the most important factor that dominates the competition in the fiberglass pipe market.
GRVE Pipe Length
The standard length of GRVE pipes with the diameters smaller than 25 mm is 1.5 meters, for diameters between 25 to100 mm are produced with standard length 3 meters, for diameters between 100 to 300 mm are 6 meters and for larger diameter than 300 mm are manufactured with a length of 12 meters. Moreover, as the production system continues, another specific pipe length can be manufactured according to the client request.
